What is a NO-Start Diagnostic service?

A "no start" diagnostic service helps determine why a vehicle won't start. When a vehicle won't start, it can be frustrating and may leave you stranded. A mobile mechanic can come to your location and perform a diagnostic check to identify the root cause of the problem.

During a "no start" diagnostic service, the mobile mechanic will inspect the various components of the vehicle's starting system, including the battery, alternator, starter, ignition switch, and wiring. They may also use diagnostic tools to read error codes from the vehicle's computer system.

Once the issue has been identified, the mechanic will provide a diagnosis and recommend the necessary repairs to get the vehicle running again. This service can save you time and money by providing an efficient solution to a frustrating problem.

Common reasons for a NO-Start

Engine cranks, car doesn't start

Bad Fuel Pump

Even if you just filled up, a broken fuel pump won't be able to get fuel to the engine.

Bad spark plugs

In the absence of hot sparks to ignite the fuel charge in each cylinder, there would be no combustion and no mixture expansion. The engine won't start as a result.

Bad timing belt

The engine won't start if the timing belt stretches or snaps. Additionally, continuing to crank the engine could seriously harm the engine by bringing the valves in contact with the piston.

Bad ignition coil

A spark is impossible without a working coil to increase the voltage. No spark equals no start.

Faulty cam or crank sensor

If the sensors are malfunctioning, they will either provide the ignition system no information or inaccurate information. In either case, the engine won't start.

No crank, just silence

Bad battery or terminals

Terminals can become loose or rust, and batteries have a limited lifespan.

Bad starter

When you turn the key, if nothing happens at all, the starter might be beyond repair.

Ignition problem

This can be the result of bad contacts in the wiring or the ignition switch.

Grinding noise but no start

Starter is bad

Restarting the engine repeatedly is not advised.

What Happens Now?

After we will examine the ignition, fuel and charging system we will look for mechanical issues

Cleaning connections, replacing the alternator, starter, or battery, as well as making repairs to the fuel or ignition systems are typically required to fix the majority of no-start issues. The diagnosis, however, is crucial in determining how expensive the repair will be because there are so many probable causes.
