Preventive maintenance is the care and protection of your vehicle against potential major auto repairs. Negligence is the most common and costly way to see money wasted on repairs that could have been prevented through regular service maintenance. Depending on your vehicle’s manufacturer, avoiding preventive maintenance on certain parts and components has the potential to void warranty coverage. Car maintenance service intervals have been designed to improve the reliability, durability, and resale value of your vehicle.
Most cars and trucks require a preventive maintenance service every 30,000 miles or so to maintain any existing warranty and to ensure vulnerable parts don't fail. This service is often referred to as 30/60/90K service because of the mileage interval the service is required at, though your vehicle's factory maintenance schedule may differ.
Depending upon the vehicle’s service interval mileage, maintenance may include an inspection of your steering and suspension components, checking the level of vital vehicle fluids, fluid filters, belts and hoses, checking the battery, brakes and axles, reviewing the level of ball joint wear, checking exterior and interior lights, examining windshield wiper blades, checking exhaust system components, checking tire wear and inflation levels, inspecting hinges and locks and other parts to help ensure that your vehicle functions efficiently.
We can complete these appointments for you, generally saving you time and money compared to a trip to the dealership.
Maintenance services we offer:
Whether you need a conventional oil change, a synthetic oil change or a synthetic blend oil change, we've got quality oil and oil filters for your vehicle. During your appointment, we can complete a multi-point inspection of your vehicle and let you know if any other services are due now, and what can wait until later.
The engine, transmission and other automotive systems rely on specialized fluids to keep them operating as designed. From time to time, these fluids need to be drained and refilled to ensure they're free of harmful contaminants.
We can perform:
Cars and trucks rely on several rubber belts and hoses to operate.
Things like the alternator, AC compressor, power steering pump, and the water pump are all powered by fan belts. When one of them breaks, your car can quickly become inoperable.
As the miles add up, these parts will wear down.
Check your owner's manual to see when your vehicle is due for certain belt and hose replacement services, such as timing belt replacement, radiator hose replacement or serpentine belt replacement.
If the belt breaks, your car will likely become inoperable very quickly. It's important to keep your eye on the condition of your belts and replace them at regularly scheduled intervals.
When it's time to replace them give us a call and schedule and appointment, so we can get that done for you
Does your car seem to be running poorly?
Have your miles per gallon dropped?
These are indicators that it may be time for an engine tune up, which generally includes affordable auto maintenance services that restore performance.
In these cases we may replace spark plugs and spark plug wires, install a new air filter and fuel filter, clean the fuel injection unit and conduct other minor car care.
Most manufacturers recommend changing spark plugs and spark plug wires from 30,000 to 50,000 miles. Newer iridium spark plugs can last from 60,000 to 100,000 miles.
Plug wires should also be changed at the same time. Keeping your engine running properly will help to ensure good fuel economy and performance.
To request an estimate for the cost of a tune up for your vehicle, don't hesitate to give us a call.
Over time, the friction and heat has the potential to wear down the brake shoes, brake pads, calipers, brake rotors, and other braking components. While the components comprising each brake system may vary, the warning signs for impending brake repairs are the same.
Brake pads are designed with high surface friction and are bound to the brake pedal. After long term use, the material in brake pads wears off, and the friction force generated by the brake pads decreases, making it harder on the vehicle to stop.
There are several common signs that your vehicle is due for brake repair.
These include grinding noises when stopping, pulling when braking, a soft or vibrating brake pedal, or the illumination of the ABS dashboard warning light.
Be sure you give us a call at the first indication of a problem to reduce the chances of an accident.
We can complete any brake maintenance service to restore the safety of your vehicle, such as brake pad replacement, brake rotor replacement or brake fluid leak repair.
Our services include:
Air filters are designed to block outside contaminants from entering the engine. A blocked air filter can cause insufficient amounts of air to enter the engine, causing engine performance and reliability issues.
Many customers make the mistake to neglect the regular vehicle maintenance and the result is obviously unexpected high repair expenses, and inconvenient events on the street. In our expertise, regular maintenance inspections are among the greatest investments you can make if you want to maintain the condition of your car.
